Gene Taylor, M.S., LPCC Executive Director
Gene received his Bachelors of Science Degree from Huron College in 1978 with a Major in Criminal Justice and Minor in Psychology. He received his Master’s degree in Human Resource and Development from South Dakota State University in 2003. Gene is currently licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Minnesota.

Thomas E. Kelly, Psy.D., LP, Clinical Director
Dr. Kelly is a Licensed Psychologist with 30 years of experience treating children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Kelly has worked in a variety of mental health settings and with a variety of levels of care including residential treatment for children, inpatient treatment for children and adults, and outpatient treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology and worked in a variety of classroom settings for children with special needs. Dr. Kelly began his professional work in psychology as a Milieu Counselor for children and adolescents and has worked with this population in a variety of roles since 1986.
Royce Wempen, Business Manager
Royce has been associated with the Leo A. Hoffmann Center for over 35 years! In addition to being at Hoffmann Center, he is also the Business Manager of Enterprise North, Brown County Evaluation Center in New Ulm, MN and also Brown-Nicollet Community Human Services Board in St. Peter, MN.
Linda Wempen, Office Manager
Linda has worked at Hoffmann Center for over 30 years! She has a wide array of job responsibilities including taking and fielding intake calls and program information requests.
Stephanie Taylor, HR/ Payroll Specialist
Stephanie received her Bachelor's of Science degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Major in Management. She joined the Hoffmann Center team five years ago. Recently she moved into her new role of Human Resources and Payroll.
