Shawn Tweten, MS, Therapist, North Cottage, Believer’s Unit
Shawn graduated from Oak Hills Christian College in 2004 with a double major in applied psychology and youth ministry. In 2013 he completed his Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Shawn obtained training in play therapy to meet the therapeutic needs of children and adolescents. He is currently pursuing additional education in autism spectrum disorders.
Jacob Hoerst, Primary Counselor, North Cottage Believer’s Unit
Jake graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement.
The Primary Counselor is responsible for assisting in the coordination of residential services. In addition, they are responsible for providing a range of residential counseling and skills training services to clients and their families, working with clients to help them meet the goals of their individual treatment plan, and reporting on resident's treatment progress and providing peer leadership.
