Tricia completed her Associates of Applied Science (AAS) Degree from South Central College for Community Social Services in 2010.  She then went on to complete her Bachelor of Science (Social Work) in 2012 from Minnesota State University, Mankato.  In July of 2015, Tricia completed her Master of Social Work Degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.  Tricia is currently licensed as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker in the state of Minnesota while receiving clinical supervision.  Currently, Tricia is assisting the agency in becoming nationally accredited with the Council on Accreditation (COA) and coordinating assessments and outpatient treatment services.


St Peter Counseling Center

Leo A. Hoffmann Center provides an extensive outpatient sexual behavior assessment.

Components include:

  • Psychological testing (basic, expanded, or intensive)

  • Assessment of social and sexual history backgrounds such as:

  • Mental status exam

  • Adolescent self-report of sexual behavior

  • Sexual history

  • Family collateral interviews exploring multi-generational patterns of cohesion, medical and mental health, family structure, patterns of attachment, and family boundaries, communication, and conflict resolution

  • Estimate of Risk of Adolescent Sexual Recidivism (ERASOR)

  • Typology of Sexual Behavior

  • Recommendations

  • A scheduled evaluation conference with the referral source(s), family, and client to review the assessment findings, written report, and recommendations

Treatment Group for Adolescents Experiencing Problematic Sexual Behavior

The outpatient program at Leo A. Hoffmann Center, Inc. strives to work with adolescent males using the most up-to-date methods, techniques, and interventions available to address inappropriate or harmful sexual behaviors. Treatment components are strength-based, multi-modal, and focus on the treatment of the adolescent as a whole; this involves addressing sexual behaviors, as well as significant issues and dynamics associated with sexually abusive behaviors. The program includes the use of an educational and relapse prevention curriculum Pathways: A Guided Workbook for Youth Beginning Treatment (Safer Society Press 2001).

Eligibility: Adolescent males, ages 11 to 17 years of age, are eligible for outpatient group therapy services using the following criteria:

  • Adjudication or acknowledgment of committing a sexual offense

  • Acknowledgement of engaging in inappropriate or harmful sexual behavior

  • A completed psychosexual assessment with a mental health diagnosis and recommendations for outpatient treatment

  • Purchase of service agreement

 Group Therapy Treatment Program

Program components include:

  • Approximately 12 months of group therapy sessions (Length may vary depending on the individual)

  • Sessions are held on Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

  • Family and Individual therapy as recommended
  • Parents Support Group

  • Individualized Treatment Plans

  • Progress Review meetings upon request

  • Experiential group therapy

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Training

Individual Therapy services available

Trauma Informed Assessment and Treatment

St. Peter Counseling Center utilizes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), a time-limited, evidenced based psychotherapy model developed for children and adolescents with a history of traumatic experiences who are struggling with depression, post-traumatic stress, behavioral problems, and/or other difficulties.
